We have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Desk Engineer to be part of the IT support function for Specialist Leisure Group's 72 sites, ensuring that end users are receiving appropriate IT support in line with our predefined expectations; delivering an excellent level of customer service across the business. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary.

Shearings Holidays is the UK's largest escorted tour operator, offering a range of holidays by coach, air, rail and river cruise to over 200 destinations across UK, Europe, and Worldwide. We are currently looking for an Assistant General Manager to work within our transport division.

Working hours: 35 hour per week - Shift Work

- Early - 7am-3pm
- Late - 11am-7pm
- Day - 9am-5pm
- Weekend 1 in 3

Key responsibilities of our Service Desk Engineer will include:

- Providing support to all employees on incidents that arise during their day to day work
- Providing detailed advice and guidance to all employees in the effective use of systems, products and services covered by the team, demonstrates knowledge to non-standard situations
- Identify and investigate complex problems to diagnose underlying causes
- Uses judgment to set priority for resolution, monitor progress of all allocated incidents
- Repair of laptops, desktops and servers
- You'll be expected to carry out a mixture of BAU and project work for the support desk

Essential Skills

- Skills on Microsoft Server platforms 2008 / 2012 / 2016
- Strong Skills on Microsoft Desktop Platforms Windows 7/10
- Strong Skills on MS Office Suites
- Skills with Exchange 2010/2013
- Skills with Office 365
- Knowledge of ITILv3

Desirable Skills

- Skills on VMWare
- Skills with managing GPO/AD/DNS/DHCP administration
- Skills with Networking technologies LAN/WAN
- Relevant Microsoft Qualifications
- Experience on Dell Equalogic SAN's
- HP Unix
- Avaya CM Phone System
- Mitel MiCollab and MiCC Phone System
