Role: Senior Java Developer (J2EE Java Programmer Software Engineer Microservices Trading Quantitative Analysis Quants FX Fixed Income Equities Commodities Derivatives AWS RStudio R Python Front Office Amazon Web Services) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a team of three developers that are growing to a team of five. The team are close to releasing a search engine that will allow for the analytics for pre-existing models that have been generated by the front office quantitative analysts. Although there may be some operational work around this product, the team will then move onto the creation of a distributed calculation framework, which is expected to take about 6 months.

The products are Java microservices with some JavaScript UI's. This role will be largely back end but some front end exposure would be beneficial. The Java microservices interface to other services, so service to service API development experience is essential. There will be some interaction with the quant teams to gather requirements as there are no business analysts in the team. It is important therefore, that you have experience with trading data and quantitative analysts. R and Python experience would be beneficial too, therefore, but are not essential.

The environment is hosted in AWS. The hiring manager will consider people without AWS, meaning this could be a good opportunity to enter the role and become familiar with Amazon Web Services and the tools it includes.
