Becoming a Finance Manager with Capita Local Government:

Fantastic opportunity to become a Finance Manager and be a part of a Finance team which supports the needs of Capita Local Public Services, part of the Government Services Division. The Finance Manager role is based in London on an initial 3 months contract and is required to support the business through the Capita wide Smarter Faster Finance programme.

What you will do:
  • Engage with the SFF programme team to conclude on an appropriate Enterprise structure, ensuring buy in from all stakeholders and a clear understanding of the impact of that structure
  • Lead the final stages of UAT for LPS, ensuring that the LPS Finance team fully covers all scenarios, and any issues identified are logged and tracked appropriately
  • Fully understand the expected change impact of the migration to SAP4Hana / BPC, and work with the key stakeholders in Local Public Services to ensure this change is understood
  • Provide post go-live support to the Finance teams, working closely with individual teams to ensure integrity and accuracy of reporting
  • Assist on the production of standardised reports and procedures to ensure a consistent approach to Financial Reporting within LPS.

Your experience will include:
  • Hold a recognised Professional Accountancy qualification such as CIMA/ACCA and significant post qualification experience
  • Finance implementation and transformation project experience
  • Ability to work independently of supervision and be proactive in all areas of the role
  • Able to solve problems and present back clear findings to management
  • Strong skills and ability in Excel
  • Attention to detail but also being able to see the "bigger picture"
  • Team player with "hands on" approach and excellent communication skills
