Our client are a British Aerospace Manufacturing company with a global presence. Being in the top 5 defence organisations in the UK, It is engaged in the development, delivery and support of aerospace and defence systems in the air, on land and at sea. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a until the end of 2019.

It is the role of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician to provide engineering support for specific tasks allocated to him/her. The Fitter will be responsible to their respective Chief Engineer/Supervisor for ensuring that all tasks allocated to him/her are complete in accordance with the agreed timescales and approved data.

The key responsibilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician will include:
  • Safety first. Operate at Special Mission in accordance with the SHE standards. Identify where the SHE Standards are applicable to appointed operations/tasks and apply safe systems of work identified.
  • Completing all aircraft work requested by the Chief Engineer/Supervisor to an acceptable quality, adhering to the specified timescales.
  • Producing accurate and comprehensive documentation for all aircraft work completed, ensuring that appropriate 'open entries' are annotated on the documentation.
  • Working efficiently with reference to all approved technical data.
  • Notifying the Chief Engineer/Supervisor of any discrepancy within the approved technical data or maintenance procedure.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

The successful Aircraft Maintenance Technician will have all or some of the below criteria:
  • Previous experience as an Aircraft maintenance technician or equivalent is essential
  • Health and Safety awareness. British Safety Council level 1
