Adecco are working with a Financial company in Lancashire who are looking for a Data Developer to join their team.

Data Developer

Adecco are looking for a Database Developer to lead the creation of business systems. These systems will focus on manging large volumes of consumer information, moving them between different businesses, and systems integration with key suppliers.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to define the strategy for the creation of future software and gain experience with a wide range of programming languages and systems in a fast-growing consumer finance business.

The role will also be responsible for apprentice staff training in system and database development and supporting the wider Data & MI teams.

This role will suit someone with a significant experience in data, coming from either a data management or business reporting background. Excellent knowledge of SQL & data services, database design, ETL solutions and reporting are essential to get the most out of the role. The ideal candidate will have worked with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS, Power BI and AWS. In addition, an understanding of noSQL systems, serverless architecture & financial services will be a great asset, though not essential.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the creation of business systems, primary in SQL Server and SSIS. Particularly our new account
  • outsourcing systems, transferring large amounts of consumer information between businesseLifecycle management of in-house data systems
  • Investigate process efficiency and making recommendations for improvements to existing processes and new applications
  • Creation of database standards and technical approach for all current and future developments
  • Manage relationships with different departments, keeping all up to date with development progress
  • Work with IT and systems on specific system updates/changes
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Passion for Data development
  • Proven experience with database development methodologies
  • Strong proven experience with SQL, ideally in SQL Server and associated technologies
  • Very strong knowledge of Financial Services and B2B practices, particularly the Consumer Debt industry, would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of .net, CCS & JavaScript
  • Strong management skills, including excellent stakeholder management
  • Experience in driving efficiency of agents within a contact centre, ideally across multiple contact methods including digital routes
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • Proficient in all MS Office packages
  • Aways Conduct self in a professional and appropriate manner
