Our client, a successful payroll company are looking to recruit for a Temp Part-Time or Full-Time Finance Assistant to join their Finance and Payroll team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Double Entry Bookkeeping

* Knowledge of VAT and Payroll rules in relation to the processing of information.

* Preparing and submitting VAT Returns

* Knowledge of accounting packages, especially Sage Line 50 and Quick Books on-line

* Bank Reconciliation

* Preparation and maintenance of a sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank accounts, a fixed asset register, other control accounts and other bookkeeping related tasks

* Accurate posting of transactions taking into account the correct nominal ledger coding, VAT treatment, date and amounts associated with the transaction

Position Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial and technical background, preferably from within an accounting practice.

· GCSE's and preferably A Levels or related experience / course qualifications / attendance

· Polite, enthusiastic, presentable

· Great team player

· Flexible attitude

· Willingness to learn and progress

· Ability to listen and take in training and advice being given

· Able to get on well with a wide variety of clients and demonstrate a responsible attitude

Part-time 25 hours a week or full-time 37.5 hours per week
