St Helens are looking for a ICT support technician to join their team.

Post: ICT Support Technician

Department: Corporate Services

Responsible to: Technical Service Desk Manager and ICT Operations Manager

Responsible for: N/A

Purpose of the Post: To assist with the corporate rollout of tablets and laptops from September 2019 until March 2020

Duties and Responsibilities:

* To build tablets and laptops to a corporate standard

* To perform basic active directory administration in relation to tablets and laptops

* To deliver tablets and laptops to site, assemble and connect to the corporate network

* To perform a basic handover to users

* To assist with the removal and disposal of existing hardware

* To liaise where appropriate with the second & third line support teams.

Knowledge

* Knowledge of personal computers.

* Basic understanding of computer networks.

* Knowledge of how laptops and tablet computers work and how they are built.

* Knowledge of Windows 10.

* Basic understanding of Active Directory

Skills and abilities

* Experience of working effectively as part of a team

* Ability to work to strict deadlines.

* Good administration and organisational skills.

* Good oral and written communication skills

Experience

* Experience in a customer services role.

Qualifications

* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent

Other Circumstances

* An ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English

* Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle
