The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications for a part-time lecturer (0.2FTE, teaching focused) to contribute teaching and learning within our postgraduate programmes in arts management, art gallery and museum studies, and heritage studies, tenable for 12 months from 1 September 2019.

This fractional post will convene and deliver the ICP Placement module and will provide additional seminar teaching, and dissertation supervision, marking and moderation across the three Masters programmes (MA Arts Management, Policy and Practice, MA Heritage Studies and MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies). The Placement module includes coordinating and teaching the ICP weekly professional practice and research training seminar series, which introduces key learning in critical reflective practice, professional development and research methods. The role also involves the coordination of placement supervision and assessment. You will be line managed by the Head of Institute of Cultural Practices and will be a valued member of the ICP team.

Candidates should have experience in teaching and assessment in relevant subject areas at PGT level, and should be in possession of or near completion of a PhD.

Interviews will take place at the end of August 2019.
