1st Line Support Engineer - Truro - £17K - £20K

Main Duties:

Working in the fast-paced telecommunications industry you will need to be proactive and a fast learner.

Answering customer calls to the support helpdesk and handling ticket escalation to suppliers.

The preferred candidate should have an excellent telephone manner and must be customer focused. The ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is essential.

We actively encourage individuals to take ownership of tasks and help to resolve our customers issues swiftly and efficiently.

Nature/purpose of the job role:

·Handling customer calls and escalation of issues to suppliers.

Working with our customers to resolve issues over the phone and on-site if necessary.

Essential:

·Excellent communication skills to work well with our customers and suppliers

·Problem solving skills

·Previous support experience

Experience working in the telecommunications industry and PBX/Hosted environment

Desirable:

·Router Configuration and support experience

·Past record of working in the openreach environment would be an advantage
