Finance Assistant All round accounts Permanent £17k-£18.5k DOE

Your new company
Your new company are a leader in their field based in Crewe and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Your new role will involve but not be limited to;
  • Responsibility for the end to end invoicing processes for one or more products;
  • Weekly reconciliations;
  • Daily banking activities;
  • Working with the Credit team to ensure that the debtors ledgers are accurate and up to date;
  • Sending and reconciling customer direct debits;
  • Importing and posting invoices and credits on to Sage Accounting software;
  • Invoice checking;
  • Process control checking;
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department;
  • Improvement of the operational systems and processes;
  • Drive solutions for problems that hold up processing;
  • Monitor and have vision to eliminate on-going issues


What you'll need to succeed
You will have GCSES in English and Maths of Grade C or above, have similar or some experience in the above tasks and want to progress into a career in finance. You will be a team player but also be able to work autonomously. Other experience to include;
  • Be able to successfully multitask and prioritise work and adapt to changing environments
  • Keen eye for detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills (training will be provided where necessary)
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined to achieve targets
  • Professionalism with respect to conduct around peers and colleagues at all times
  • Will require good judgement and decision making skills
  • Strong commitment to providing the very best customer service
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
  • Good team worker
  • Ability to identify and implement system and process improvements to increase the efficiency of the department
  • Be able to demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Previous financial experience is not a necessity
