We are innovative and pioneering and deliver exceptional care as recognised by our 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission. We have a vision and bold plans for the future.

Our inspirational Marketing and Engagement Team make sure the DHHC voice is heard, whether it be digital, in the press locally, regionally and nationally. And we have a lot to say. Extraordinary human stories of people living with end of life diagnosis. Inspiring stories of past achievements and future plans that remind us how much work there is still to do with a charitable heart yet with a commercial brain.

We seek a dynamic Director with confidence to play a critical role in delivering our ambitious strategy "Everyday, Everyone" where our vision is "to create a society where Death is a part of Life" and a mission "where everyone will have access to outstanding end of life care" which is bold, innovative and sector leading. The successful candidate will enable the delivery of outstanding services by developing a comprehensive and innovative marketing and engagement strategy and philosophy that delivers sustainable growth in our fundraising. Delivering on a budget of nearly £6m is significant responsibility

The Role, as a member of ET, is to shape, fashion and execute a marketing and engagement strategy through dedicated communication and fundraising teams. The remit is strategic and the requirement is for holistic engagement, including a customer-led approach across the teams, delivering a coherent, integrated narrative across the media/channel mix. The responsibility is to exceed the business plans in terms of fundraising and giving.

Dynamic and pioneering are over-used words, but here they apply not only to the candidate sought, but to the organisation and the environment within which it operates. Approachable and visible, you will be required to provide decisive leadership across these areas in a period of change for the Hospice and the wider sector as a whole. We deliver outstanding care and our intent is to be the beacon "Go To" organisation for the provision of high quality, renowned palliative and end of life care.
