Hours: Part time

Salary: Spine point 21-33, £23,117 - £32,818 pa FTE (Pro rata)

Start date: ASAP

Do you have the necessary qualifications, skills and/or experience to deliver teaching, Learning and assessment and contribute to the effectiveness and success in Child Care.

This lecturing role includes, but is not limited to the following activities:

* Planning, preparing, teaching/delivering modules and supporting learning on a range of childcare programmes, currently working with part time learners, from level 2 to level 3 and including the apprenticeship provision using the new standards.

* Course coordination of the childcare courses allocated; providing guidance, support and tutorship for learner groups including apprentices and others, as appropriate; liaising with the wider course team including the Business Development Team and other apprenticeship staff; completing course assessment reports; effective management of the apprenticeship programme from sign up with the employer through to successful completion of End Point Assessment

* Visiting apprentices in the workplace will require the post holder to have access to a car for business purposes

* The post may include teaching on other courses, including full-time courses.

* Meeting both external and internal quality assurance processes in relation to the Programmes

* Developing and growing relationships with partnership organisations

* Carrying out academic administration duties, as required

You should have:

* A Professional childcare and teaching qualification (see person specification)and have significant industry experience

* Experience of working within a nursery and a school

* Experience of teaching or assessing

* Ideally, experience of working with apprentices and liaising with employers
