Are you experienced in IT Infrastructure? Are you looking for a new role within an expanding company? If so read on, as an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Scrum Master to join our Digital Development Team.

Cabot Credit Management is one of the largest credit management services providers in Europe and the market leader in the UK and Ireland. Cabot provides a range of credit management services across a broad client base who provide credit to consumers. Cabot has a customer portal that allows customers to manage their account, set up repayment plans and make payments.

The Product Management works closely with the product owner, business analyst, IT scrum master and business owners to help gather refine and deliver requirements that deliver value for the business and improve our digital capabilities. Key to our success is the adoption of an agile development lifecycle across a cross-functional team for the MyCabot brand/product.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Set-up and administer Azure DevOps throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring;
  • User stories are groomed to a definition of ready with tasks elicited and assigned to team members
  • Capacity of team is understood, with stories assigned a score that enables planning and achievement reporting
  • Cross functional team workload is tracked and managed epic, features, stories and tasks
  • Issues, defects and planned/un-planned work tracked
  • Support the analysis and documentation of business issues through to recommendation
  • Process mapping
  • Business rules documentation
  • Elicit and validate business requirements
  • Assess Scrum Maturity of the team and coach to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving
  • Day-to-day management of the agile process across our cross-functional team that comprises
  • User centred design and validation
  • Technical delivery

To succeed in the role you must have:
  • Experience across IT infrastructure, application development and business change deliveries
  • Product and/or service design management experience in a fast paced business from which a product family/category was designed, developed and successfully launched
  • Marketing or customer service experience for a customer centric brand within a fast-paced B2C environment, ideally within the Financial services or retail/ecommerce sector
  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
  • Strong working knowledge of BPMn, UML and other process notations
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Experience of setting up and administering collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence or Visual Studio
  • Experience of working closely with UX teams and running usability tests
