Finance Systems Manager


Base salary to £75,000 per annum

Our client is one of the largest employers in South Yorkshire, providing world-class services to customers through its' network of operating divisions. Having recently brought its' accounting operations under one single entity, the organisation is now looking to appoint an experienced Finance Systems Manager to help manage this change.

The role:

As the Finance Systems Manager, you will act as subject matter expert, advising on and leading the harmonisation of core financial systems as well as the integration of other business-critical systems. This will involve establishing best practices, the development of policies and procedure and the design and implementation of efficient and scalable processes.

Skills and experience required:
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Manager within a large-scale enterprise
  • Possess a full CCAB qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
  • Exposure to evaluating and developing financial systems within a complex, high-volume transactional environment (a Shared Service Centre would be desirable)
  • Specific experience in using technology as an enabler to improve and optimise business processes
  • Experience in project management and preferably hold a recognised qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM
  • Possess the know-how to plan, implement and manage software interfaces with 3rd-party suppliers/systems (including supply chain).
  • A demonstrable track record of leading, motivating and developing a team of finance and non-finance staff during a period of significant change
  • Leveraging integrated systems to improve the relevance and integrity of financial reporting
