£65 - £70 per day

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for Autism student to join our successful supply team and work in local SEN settings across Kirklees. This is a flexible Teaching Assistant role, which will commence September 2019.

The role

Working as part of a dynamic and creative SEN Supply team, the Teaching Assistant for Autism student will focus on delivering specialist 1:1 support to young learners with Autism, whilst also providing general classroom support for a class of children with additional Special Needs.

The school

Vision for Education is looking for a committed and successful Autism Support Workers to join their motivated team. The settings we work with are looking for specialist Autism Support workers who have experience in dealing with ASD across the spectrum. We look after Schools who have these needs from Reception age where personal care will be required, up to College age where you will be supporting with Life Skills etc. The local community is highly supportive of the school and parental involvement is very positive.

Requirements

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant for Autism student position, you will:

Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist ASD environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Team teach is required in some settings therefore willingness to learn is essential.
Ideally have experience supporting learners on a daily basis.
