A global manufacturing organisation has a new requirement for an Engineering Manager. An experienced Engineering Manager you will manage all process systems and procedures in the plant to ensure efficient, effective and safe production. Monitoring and controlling capability of site equipment and facilities to ensure they can deliver the customer requirements.

Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 60,000 p.a. + benefits + pension

Commutable from: Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, Middlewich, Northwich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport.

The Role

The key functions of this role are to implement and sustain monitoring of equipment and facilities so that preventative maintenance can take place and reduce impacts of unplanned downtime.
You will identify and implement engineering best practice and manage capital expenditure projects from justification through to completion.

Responsibilities will include:

Manage, monitor train and develop subordinates
Plan and provide Continuous Improvements in OEE, Safety, repair time and cost performance
Control budget expenditure
Set, monitor and control KPIs
Oversee purchase and delivery of assets
Manage the acquisition of new equipment
Analyse equipment efficiencies and initiate improvements
OEE improvement
Ensure levels of expenditure are maintained

The Person

With a proven engineering management background you will have worked in heavy engineering and must have a good understanding of electrical maintenance, managing capex expenditure and continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will be able to manage teams and implement change efficiently within large fast-paced manufacturing environment.
