An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professionally qualified Senior Internal Auditor within our client's risk assurance team. We are seeking ACCA , ACA or IIA/CIA qualified internal audit specialists to work across a range of corporate and public sector clients. This role would be well suited to individuals who have experience of Sarbanes-Oxley work in addition to Internal Audit, but most importantly our client is looking for ambitious qualified staff keen to progress their careers in a large multi-national accounting and advisory practice.

Responsibilities

The role will entail undertaking a variety of complex and specialist audits at client sites, across both financial and operational systems.

You should:

* Understand the clients' key risks identified by management and the controls put in place to address those risks within each area of the client's Annual Audit Plan

* Manage, perform and control internal audit assignments embracing assignment planning, conducting fieldwork and reporting findings;

* Draft audit planning documents and reports for review by Client/Management; to high quality standards

* Lead and supervise more junior staff on individual assignments including staff motivation, training and technical audit guidance

About You

You will need to demonstrate a determined, hardworking attitude that will enable you to flourish in a dynamic working environment, be a self-starter who is keen to progress into a Management role, or to specialise within specific areas of Internal Audit / Risk Advisory and demonstrate the ability to:

* Review technical content of the work of others to ensure compliance with relevant regulation and Internal Audit Standards;

* Demonstrate a good technical knowledge of the end to end internal audit process, risk management and internal control;

* Ability to provide support as required to other team members;

* Pro-active management of own training and development needs

Essential Requirements

* Access to a car and a full, clean driving licence

* Qualified to ACA, ACCA, IIA/CIA or equivalent; though consideration will be given to those nearing completion of their qualification

* Flexibility and willingness for some travel to client sites; although the majority of your clients will be based locally

* At least two years working within Internal Audit
