Job Title: Senior Buyer
Salary: 36-41K

They now have an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to be responsible for monitoring the Supply Chain, Bid and proposal support, Indirect and 3rd Party procurement and associated disciplines. To provide timely and accurate data to the Senior Supply Chain Manager on key departmental data.

JOB ROLE:
·To deputise for the Supply Chain Manager when required.
·In support of bids and programmes, solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
·Ensure that all Supply Chain activities are carried out in accordance with current process. Where appropriate, critique existing process and propose improvements,
·Contribute to process improvement both within the supply chain and wider business.
·Identify key issues and patterns from partial / conflicting data. This can relate to issues including, but not limited to, MRP system output, requirements forecasting and patterns in supplier performance metrics.
·Be responsible for raising purchase orders against the following demands:
·Be responsible for managing purchase order deliverables with the objectives of ensuring:
·When allocated as supply chain lead to a specific bid and / or resultant programme, the primary objective is to ensure budget and schedule are achieved.
·Annual re-costing activity and Benchmarking activity
·Managing the relationships of third-party suppliers of high value, complex direct and indirect requirements.
·Support production of KPIs and undertake trend analysis as required.
·Provide informal guidance and direction to junior team members.
·Undertake any other reasonable duties and projects that may be required by the Supply Chain Manager.

ØCIPS qualified or working towards that qualification
ØBusiness-related degree desirable
ØNegotiation skills
ØKnowledge of standard costs and formal benchmarking techniques and practices
ØComputer literate
ØPrevious supervisory experience would be preferable
