This company is a hybrid between a Managed Services Provider (MSP) and a Cloud Services Provider (CSP) based in Maidstone, Kent. They specialise in providing services based in the cloud with the use of their own data centre infrastructure spanning the UK and US and through recent growth are looking for someone to join their service desk.

The Role
The role is ideal for someone looking to start out in a career in I.T. with on the job training including industry recognised certifications. The training period will last for 12 months after which, subject to completion of the certifications and good employment history the role is designed to transition into a permanent role with a salary increase.

The role will primarily involve logging of new calls and e-mails on their CRM system and conducting initial fault finding and diagnostics before escalating on to more senior team members if required. The role will also involve reviewing monitoring alerts from servers and maintaining backups.

Over the 12 month period, you will learn the fundamentals of being an I.T. technician working on the job handling real support calls and managing the infrastructure which supports their client base. During this period you will have training from team leaders, access to lab environments and some instructor led training where appropriate. At the end of the 12 month training period you will have sat exams for Comptia A+ and Comptia Linux+ to provide you with your initial certifications within the industry.

Working hours would be on a rotation basis with shifts of either 08:00-16:30 or 10:00-18:30. Self study time will also be agreed to take place at regular intervals during work time however some of your own time may need to be added to self-study dependent on your learning pace.

Core Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered.
- Answering and logging support calls from clients.
- Initial fault finding and information gathering on support issues.
- Monitoring service dashboards and responding to any incidents.
- Monitoring and maintaining backups.
- Reporting to the service supervisor

The ideal candidate will have:
- An interest in I.T. ideally having built or maintained your own computer.
- Be enthusiastic about training and obtaining your certifications.
- Ability to work and communicate as part of a team.
- Prior work experience full or part time in any industry
- A driving licence is not essential but would be beneficial if already obtained or being worked towards.

- Salary - £12,000
