Scrum Master - Agile / DevOps - Dundee

We are looking for a passionate and confident agile practitioner to guide and support multiple cross-functional teams in the efficient and successful delivery of one of our client's flagship strategic initiatives. You will work directly with Product, Design and Engineering to facilitate this work, managing and removing impediments and blockers where necessary.

Our client is committed to genuinely lean/agile working practices and you will work to embed these practices and coach the teams, and wider organisation, toward continuous self-improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Guiding the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to ensure customer satisfaction
- Guiding the team toward continuous improvement through effective use of retrospectives and other mechanisms for learning and development
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments that may be impacting delivery
- Capturing and understanding team delivery metrics and ensuring they are visible to the team.
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Providing all support to the team

Requirements:
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years within a software development team
- Clear understanding of all phases of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and experience of supporting elements of this process
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, bug handling, etc.)
- Scrum Master certification
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Deployment, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
