Salary - up to £26,000 (depending on experience)

Hours - 40 per week

Location - Head Office, Capability Green, Luton

The role of the Compliance Officer is to ensure operational excellence in all check processes that underpin the integrity of the Company and satisfy the requirements of regulators, delivering a consistent and professional experience to the Operational Managers.

As Compliance Officer you will be required to become a systems (Timegate) expert, in order that you can be confident that the personal data we hold is both accurate and relevant and in line with our legal obligations under GDPR.

Key Responsibilities
  • To ensure operational excellence in all the security check processes that underpin the integrity of the Company and satisfy the requirements of regulators, delivering a consistent and professional experience to the Operational Managers
  • To ensure vetting is completed in a timely matter for new Operatives by regularly liaising with the Regional Administrators to understand and resolve any high level issues
  • To take ownership of the checking of vetting invoices, ensuring they are accurate and assigned to the correct cost code
  • To be the first point of contact for any SIA licensing issues and support with applications
  • To raise LDN's, ECS and enhanced DBS checks
  • To complete all administration regarding maternity & paternity cases for front line operatives
  • To ensure all fit notes are compliant and processed by Payroll in a timely manner
  • To compile ELI data for tenders and contract losses as and when requested
  • To become a Timegate champion by attending meetings, participating in demo's and becoming an expert on system functionality
  • To review & maintain accurate data within Timegate, and carry out quality checks to determine the accuracy of Timegate data & personnel files
  • To undertake ad hoc Timegate project work, including but not limited to data cleanse, set up, assisting the IT team with processes, testing & maintenance
  • To liaise with the Regional Administrators to ensure compliance & consistency within the operation
  • To provide cover for the HR Administrator when required
  • To ensure we are GDPR compliant at all times
  • To adhere to agreed service level agreements with the business and Head of HR Operations
  • To work on ad hoc projects and tasks when required to meet the demands of the business
  • To provide support to the Head of HR Operations as required

Skills & Experience:
  • Maths and English at GCSE grade C equivalent
  • Previous experience in an administrative / compliance role
  • Proven experience of analysing data & reports
  • Good communication skills - articulate and focussed, proficient written
  • Experience building excellent working relationships with all levels of management and across organisational lines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues using own initiative
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise & meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Competent user of IT systems including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel - Essential
  • A good understanding of Time & Attendance systems
