Access Creative College is delivering a new range of 2-year Foundation Degrees in conjunction with Nottingham Trent University (NTU).

Position: HE Lecturer - Music Technology
Location: Norwich NR3 1JD
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: up to 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £17,233 to £18,831 actual (0.6 FTE) £24.47 to £26.74 per hour, Hourly paid

About the role:

We are looking for talented creative professionals to work on our music technology course to deliver: Music Tech Industry practice, Audio and sound recording, Composing for visual media, Music industry and music business skills and knowledge including marketing and promotion, events, law, Contextual studies.

The role could be carried out as a single 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week) position or as a number of hourly paid positions, depending on subject knowledge, skills and experience.

You will work closely with the Course Leader for Foundation Degrees, the Centre manager and the HE Development Manager in liaison with NTU, our validating partner, to ensure the effective delivery of teaching and learning, maintenance of academic standards, policies and procedures including curriculum and quality in accordance with the programme requirements.

An articulate communicator and teacher, you will be a music / creative industry professional, with a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Music Technology or a related subject.

You will have experience at HE level (schemes of work, session plans, assessment) with previous teaching / lecturing experience.


- Delivery of foundation degree module content.
- Management of students and their learning.
- Assessment and reporting of student achievement.

About you:

- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Qualified teacher (or, currently studying at Level 4 or above).
- Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy.
- Good ICT skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding issues relevant to the post.
- Excellent teaching skills.
- Ability to relate to diverse teaching groups.
- Skills relevant for tutorial / pastoral support if required.
- Understanding of equality and diversity within the curriculum, barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these.

Desirable Criteria:

Relevant teaching qualification.
