Chailey Heritage Foundation is a pioneering charity providing education, care and transition planning for young people aged 3-25 with complex physical disabilities and health needs.

Our aim is to provide a stimulating and inclusive environment where all young people are given every opportunity to make progress towards fulfilment and develop life skills in preparation for adulthood.

We are seeking......a Life Skills Coordinator

Working 12.5 hours per week, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of 1:1 and group based sessions for Living Skills which will match the qualifications of the ASDAN programme (full training will be provided). As a level 2 'Food Safety in Catering', qualified candidate, you will ensure that food hygiene and infection control standards are met, according to Chailey Heritage Foundation policies (and EHO standards)

Description of role

To lead on the development and delivery of Living Skills sessions.

The job holder will work closely with the other Living Skills Coordinator, and the Café team, in the delivery of a high quality cooking and living skills experience for people.

They will also occasionally support the Café team as required.

Additional hours may be available working as part of our Community Support Team, providing person-centred support to children, young people and adults with physical disabilities and complex health needs, in order to promote independence and personal fulfilment. Above all, we are looking for an individual with the following:

A good understanding of session development

An ability to develop good working relationships with all members of staff and the people we support

You will have a passion for ensuring your work is always completed to the highest standard.

You will be willing to support the Life Skills Centre Manager and staff in ideas which enhance the service offered to people
