Job Title: Foundation Studies or SEND Lecturer
Location: Southampton
Pay rate: £27p/h
Hours: Part time - 2.5-3 days per week
Duration: Temporary ongoing starting in September

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a great college on an exciting new role in the Southampton area. Starting from September, the college are looking for Foundation Studies or SEND Lecturer to join them on a temporary basis.

The College

The College is based in a central easy to commute location. The campus has undergone a recent refurbishment with new facilities and equipment, allowing students to learn and work in real life working environments using industry standard equipment. Students can use this experience to start, build and develop their careers beyond education.

The Role

- You will be teaching learners aged 16-24 with SEND/BESD

- You will be delivering the foundation studies/ skills for work and life

- Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential

- Plan and prepare modules, deliver teaching and conduct tutorials and assessments

- Create and implement effective learning support material, methods and applications

What you will need

- A recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed or PGCE)

- Previous experience in teaching SEN

- Managing and defusing challenging behaviours is essential, as is the ability to engage young people
