Due to growth within their team they have an opportunity for a Secretary/Paralegal with experience within Residential Conveyancing.

Your Life as a Secretary/Paralegal:

You'll work within a friendly and supportive environment as part of a busy team. We think you'll particularly like the office culture as they'll support you to thrive and offer enough variety in your role.

You will support and work closely with the fee earners in a small but very busy team under the supervision of the Partners. Working both independently and as part of the team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the provision of a comprehensive service for real estate professionals and business occupiers providing support in a broad range of transactions.

Duties in this role will include;

· Negotiating residential Scottish standard missives
· Examinations of title, drafting dispositions
· Dealing with correspondence between solicitors, lender and clients and the preparation of client fee notes
· Completion of all LBTT and registration forms required pre and post-exchange and completions, undertaking searches and processing Land Registry fees
· Providing paralegal support to the wider residential real estate team when necessary
· Support in general administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, opening new client files, arranging client meetings and the preparation of legal documents as and when required

To be successful in your role you will have experience in:

· A similar paralegal position, qualifications preferred but not essential
· Strong background working at secretarial level
· Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
· Strong organisational skills
· Ability to work under pressure

Salary expectations will be negotiable depending on level of experience
