I am currently recruiting for my client who are based just outside Chester. There is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join the finance team on a permanent basis as graduate Trainee Accountant! This role will come with a full CIMA study package with help and guidance through the early part of your finance career.

The Graduate Programme is designed to give you the best platform for building the career you want, by providing a thorough understanding of our business. Our Graduate Trainee Accountant scheme runs for 3 years, during which time you will work at our Office in Chester.

At each stage of the programme you will have the support of a mentor and strong links to our management team. You will receive full support to study and pass your professional qualification, including time off to study subject to operational requirements and financial support for examination fees. It is up to you to show the ability and commitment to manage your study alongside your stimulating full-time job.

KeyTasks

  • To study and successfully complete the Chartered Institute for Management Accounts (CIMA) professional qualification, demonstrating commitment to study and exam success
  • To maintain the required level of training whilst effectively contributing to the work of the finance team and covering appropriate areas of work experience to satisfy the requirements of your CIMA study
  • To assist initially in the administration of the finance office function, including Purchase Ledger, Accounting, Cash Book and Reconciliations
  • As you progress through your training you will become integrated with the Production team to gain a wider understanding of Costings, Stocks and Yields. You will also integrate with the Commercial team to understand the drivers that will affect Profitability and Margins
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of financial procedures and controls


Qualifications & Key Attributes
  • First Class or 2:1 Degree (or equivalent)
  • CIMA exam exemptions are a benefit but not mandatory
  • Computer literate, with strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and highly organised to ensure effective delivery of tasks
  • Accountable with a high degree of accuracy and a focus on quality
  • Cooperative and adaptable with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strives for continuous improvement
