Graduate Assistant Accountant

Central Bath

£20,000 - £24,000 + study

Robert Half are working with a very successful private business in Central Bath who are seeking an energetic, confident and professional Accountancy and Finance (or similar) graduate to join their Commercial Finance team for their Assistant Accountant requirement.

The Role

The Accountant will report directly into the Financial Controller and will be working closely alongside senior stakeholders and contractors within the business to assist in the full accounting.

Key duties include:
  • Answering queries and providing assistance to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Collaboration with the operations team to complete tasks
  • Adhoc production of invoicing and accounting for various projects
  • Additional duties will include preparing journals for posting, assisting in analysis of overheads.
  • Support to other regional teams when required
  • Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures
  • Other ad-hoc tasks to support

Experience required:
  • Relevant degree in accounting or business at 2:1 or above
  • Good secondary and/or tertiary education: A levels or equivalent
  • Ability to understand the nature of the work
  • Can interact with other team members in the delivery of their work i.e non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience of supporting a team of people as well as working on a one to one basis.
  • Hard-working, will go the extra mile
