We are currently working with a number of SEN Residential homes in Preston. They are recruiting support workers to start in ASAP and in September 2019. You will be supporting learners across Key stage 3 and 4, who have various special needs including ASD, SLD and PMLD.

Working hours:

(Monday to Friday) 7.30am-4.30pm or 4.00pm-10.00pm.
(Weekend hours) consist of 7.30am-2.30pm or 2.00pm-10.00pm

As a Support Worker you will join a growing support team in a residential setting offering care and support to Children and Young People who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs. We are also looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to work in the SEN school which is on the same site. The small residential service is for 4 boys. As a service that provides specialist support to people with learning disabilities and autism we are looking for the right people to make a difference. The 4 people who live with them all require individual support in order to enhance and enjoy their lives and to reach their full potential. Located in the Chorley area of Preston, close to the town centre with easy access to the motorway and local transport links.

Support Workers are also required to apply personal care.

Support Workers will also encourage their social, physical, emotional, intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential.

Key skills and experience needed: -
  • Current DBS check or able to apply for a new one on the update server.
  • Previous support work within an SEN school/college or other adult related experience
  • Professional manor
  • Enthusiasm and friendly approach
  • Extremely Resilient
