Join a leading multinational aerospace and defence organisation as an Engineering Manager in Barrow-in-Furness.

Due to continued investment, this manufacturing business at the cutting edge of technology is searching for the perfect Engineering Manager to join their growing team in Barrow on a 6-month contract. This role pays £54.22 per hour.

The successful candidate will be awarded with this phenomenal opportunity to work with a true leader on some of the biggest challenges and most advanced technologies in the industry.

The Role

Within the Engineering Manager role, you'll be responsible for:

Delivery of data and outputs to support the programmes worked on to quality, cost and schedule.
Ensuring that Electrical Power Team scope integrates functionally with all the other systems and scenarios that call upon it.
Assessing programme and technical risks and propose mitigation activities and fallback opportunities to clients.In addition, you'll also have responsibility for leadership of the of the Electrical Power SIT, as well as being a member of the electrical management team.


To succeed within the Engineering Manager role, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

Good understanding of submarine systems, design and operation, including transverse aspects, safety and certification.
Knowledge of submarine electrical power systems design and operation.
Knowledge of MOD system procurement and support.In addition, any experience of test and trials environments will be helpful.
