Excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join a large national organisation in their payroll team based in Cheshire. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will reporting to the Group Payroll Manager and will be responsible for supporting the development of 3 payroll teams across the business. You will be involved in projects and system implementation.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Efficiency and service improvements
  • Ensuring all activity is recorded and tracked with benefits realisation.
  • Undertaking the testing of system updates and fixes, ensuring documentation of evidence.
  • In-depth understanding of Payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Provide expert advice and direction on complex operational issues.
  • Resolution of escalations to highest standards of customer service.
  • Internal & External Audit compliance

The candidate:
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and use intelligently
  • Must have Excellent knowledge of Payroll legislation
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • SAP is desirable
  • Experience of implementing end to end process improvement
  • Management experience
