OUR CLIENT

Our client seeks to provide a full in-house financial advisory service. The decision to introduce Mortgage & Protection into their portfolio of products completes the offerings available. Founded by highly experience professionals, they have achieved great success to date and have now set their sights on a solid, realistic plan for growth. As a result of heavy investment in technology and infrastructure, their work is primarily all telephone based which provides their clients with a more flexible and convenient approach to managing their financial matters. Their aim is to provide a service which offers value for money whilst continuing to focus on quality.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for an individual who already delivers an efficient, effective and profitable Mortgage and Protection advice service for their clients, but who now wishes to extend that experience into developing a team of their own whilst still proactively maintaining and increasing their own portfolio of clients. This role would be best suited to an existing mortgage manager or perhaps an experienced and commercially minded/entrepreneurial mortgage advisor who is searching for the next step in their career.

As you will be the first individual to form this team, you will be expected to implement systems and processes to complement those already in place within the business, or those that have been set by their external network. You will be someone who can comfortably navigate the marketplace and will have a wider awareness of the market - you will enjoy keeping up to date with changes by understanding where it is at now and where it is going.

Your responsibilities will eventually extend to overseeing a team to ensure that they are providing quality advice and guidance in accordance with the companies processes and within the compliance and regulatory framework. This will include motivating the team to hit their targets, providing training and coaching where necessary, and conducting regular appraisals and one to one's.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contacting potential clients from a robust and real pipeline (which will be provided), giving relevant and tailored mortgage advice in line with the individual's circumstances and objectives
  • Developing your own network and establishing long lasting relationships
  • Identifying new opportunities with existing clients and proactively maximising the potential of every lead
  • Chasing up and monitoring potential client leads and ensuring sales targets are met
  • Acting in accordance with company policy and ensuring you are working within the mortgage compliance and regulatory framework
  • Cross-selling other products and services or referring clients to your colleagues in different departments
  • Assist in setting up new policies and procedures
  • Analysing data and generating reports for the senior management team, identifying areas for improvement

CANDIDATE BRIEF

We are searching for someone who:
  • Has gained significant experience of providing high quality mortgage and protection advice ideally in a whole of market environment
  • Holds a CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) - advanced CeMAP, CeRER or any other financial services qualifications would be desirable
  • Has previous achievement of 'Competent Adviser Status' (CAS) for mortgages and protection
  • Is commercially aware with an ability to maximise on all opportunities and is driven by financial targets and incentives
  • Has exceptional stakeholder management skills with an ability to confidently communicate both verbally and written
  • Is organised, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise their own workload
  • Has experience of supervising/managing and coaching mortgage advisers

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to join a progressive and forward-thinking organisation. If you have the required skill sets and experience, please apply today. Ideally, if you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Matt Pallister or Janet McGlaughlin on the number listed on our website: Marmion Recruitment.
