Purchase Ledger Assistant

My client is looking for an experienced purchase ledger assistant for their busy finance department. You'll get full autonomy of the role, managing your own workload and full responsibility of the procedures. Reporting into the Financial controller and working in a team of 3, you'll be processing the company's invoices and pay their 100 suppliers, this role requires someone to build/maintain the current relationships and take part in month end duties.

Purchase ledger assistant duties:

• Ensure all accounts payable invoices are processed in a timely manner
• Processing of Supplier payments in an organized and timely manner
• Credit card distribution and reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Recording of supplier payments with the respective accounting systems
• Ensuring imaging of invoice supporting documents is timely and accurately performed.
• Assisting in streamlining the accounts payable process.
• Processing of employee expenses through the accounting systems and banks
• Perform Statement of Account reconciliations on a monthly basis to confirm supplier balances
• Prepare monthly payment files to be submitted within the monthly payment run
• Maintaining and Administering Petty Cash
• Query resolution for suppliers
• Collaborate with the finance manager and team in the weekly preparation of weekly cash forecasts to be reviewed on the week following
• Preparation and culmination of project files to facilitate invoicing
• Provision of cover for other accounting functions as required within the team - Accounts Receivable
• Any other reasonable duties as designated by finance managers/directors
• Maintaining and recording of Supplier Information within the accounting system
• Work closely with Purchasing to resolve queries and provide additional support where necessary
• Processing of Weekly Timesheets and Holiday forms for employees
• Receptionist duties including greeting and welcoming visitors

Purchase ledger assistant requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Sage 200 would be advantageous
• Polish/Czech language would be advantageous
• Good written and verbal communication
