Location: Oxford

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 pa

Hours: 40 hours per week

SAE is part of the Navitas Group, which is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

We are seeking a Learning and Quality Manager to provide management and strategic direction across our Academic registry, which covers learning and teaching, assessment, quality assurance and academic governance through management and day to day operations.

You must have extensive understanding of teaching and understanding the practice of pedagogy, as well as being an excellent project manager who understands service delivery and how to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Learning and Quality Manager:
  • Provide and develop strategic direction, delivery and management for all aspects of learning and teaching, curriculum design and development, including revalidation;
  • Review and develop the Institute's learning and teaching practices and processes, e.g. observations, peer feedback, teacher induction, training and development;
  • Ensure curriculum is fit for purpose and conducting timely reviews;
  • Develop and maintain collaborative networks and relationships across campus academic teams;
  • Monitor performance and manage projects which enhance student experience, quality and institutional performance with TEF, QAA, NSS, etc.;
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of learning and teaching, curriculum design, and development, including revalidation;
  • Maintain, implement and develop the Institute's Quality Assurance Framework E.g. Quality Handbook, External Examining etc.

Requirements of the Learning and Quality Manager:

  • First degree, and ideally a postgraduate qualification;
  • Expert knowledge in learning, teaching and assessment approaches, understanding of the practices in pedagogy, UK quality processes and higher education administration;
  • Strong operations, project coordination and management experience; must be able to deliver and mange a high-quality service;
  • Thorough knowledge of the contemporary issues that students face in higher education and experience of developing and enhancing the learner journey;
  • Experience using CRM systems, databases, and standard Office IT applications;
  • Understanding of WHS, equality, diversity and inclusion, and access to education principles and practices, and other relevant legislation;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary;
  • Right to live and work in the UK.

  • Experience in teaching excellence with evidence of successful outcomes;
  • Knowledge of the creative media industries
