We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to provide a first-class payroll processing service for all variable related pay data for sites within the Sector. The successful candidate will be involved in monitoring time and attendance, holidays and training for all employees.

DS Smith are looking for somebody who is proactive with a passion for learning. This would be ideal for somebody looking to start a career within HR as study support will be provided for you to complete your CIPD Level 3. A key part of the role will also see you provide an administration service for sites with Retail Marketing.

What the role will entail...
  • Monitoring the Time & Attendance System for sites within Sector in accordance with working time regulations
  • Running weekly reports for overtime, lateness, sickness absence
  • Compiling monthly overtime, lateness, holiday pay, absence stats etc. Input variable pay data via interface to SSC/Payroll in accordance with deadlines
  • Dealing efficiently with any pay related queries
  • Raising recruitment requests on the shared portal; following this through to approval stage.
  • Maintaining absence records for employees; escalating to management when formal action is required
  • Arranging meetings as required including Management meetings, hotel bookings and refreshments
  • Providing general administrative support including but not limited to filing, advertising of vacancies via internal communication platforms and external job boards, issuing of employee benefit initiatives such as eye test vouchers and vaccination vouchers
  • Managing the new starter process from the point of offer to ensure that line managers are provided with the tools and information to onboard new employees into the business
  • Completion of the leaver process, ensuring return of company property and termination from systems and software.
