Established in the UK in 2008, we are a dynamic company offering innovative payment software solutions to the retail, hospitality, and banking industry. Our software has been rolled out in many different regions from Australia to Zambia! We have staff in New Zealand and the UK. We work on a range of different payment terminal platforms, and are involved in small to large projects + from designing and implementing GUIs, to cryptographic systems, to interface protocols, to wireless and wired comms technologies, to the latest contactless and NFC technologies, we do it all! We are a multi-talented, experienced, technically-lead team, looking for a like-minded and capable individual to join us.

The Role:

+ Developing applications to run on Chip and Pin and Point of Sale devices across various OS's
+ Small, tight team means high level of involvement in entire project lifecycle from inception, through implementation to delivery and support
+ Help shape a rapidly growing team
+ Work from your home office
+ Ideally Manchester based, but will consider other UK-based applicants depending on experience

You MUST have the following:

+ Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science (or similar).
+ Minimum of 5 years commercial development experience using C/C++
+ Excellent English written and oral communication skills
+ Experience developing software to tight timelines
+ Customer-facing experience

You MUST be experienced in FOUR OR MORE of the following areas:

+ Embedded system programming e.g. embedded Linux
+ Android/Java/Kotlin development
+ Experience programming Chip+Pin payment terminals, devices or similar products (VeriFone, Ingenico, Pax)
+ Communication protocol experience + HTTP, TCP/IP sockets, Serial RS232
+ User interface design and coding for embedded systems
+ Payment application or Point of Sale development experience
+ EMV experience (chip card and/or contactless)
+ ISO-7816 compliant Smart Card programming experience
+ APACS, ISO8583, SPDH, AS2805, Paymark, SEPA, Nexo, EPAS, Cartes Bancaire experience
+ Security and cryptography experience + DES, 3DES, RSA, DUKPT, Master/Session key management, PIN block encryption methods
+ Payment card technology - payWave, payPass, expressPay, Apple Pay
+ NFC device payment experience
+ Cloud-based solutions
