Are you a highly proficient and talented test engineer looking for their next challenge?

Does the opportunity to work on several large-scale exciting projects in the public sector appeal to you?
If so, we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for multiple Test Engineers (HEO and SEO grades) to play a critical leadership and technical role in testing strategy and processes of large-scale DVSA digital services. Operating out of our Swansea office, you will work within a delivery focused agile environment, in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary agile teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of discrete, cost-effective test procedures to support the delivery of major initiatives.

As a Senior Test Engineer you will be responsible for the testing strategy and its delivery and will provide support for Test Engineers within the team. As a Test Engineer, supported by the Senior, you will be responsible for developing test scripts along with the wider test strategy delivery. In both roles you will have the chance to create positive working relationships across the whole of DVSA.

Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Designing and implementing test strategies and procedures.
• Designing test processes.
• Providing advice and guidance on test planning and execution processes.
• Executing and analysing automation test results.
• Documenting, tracking and escalating application defects.
• Reviewing test results and modifying tests if necessary.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will hold demonstrable experience in test engineering, particularly showing an understanding and experience of testing within a large-scale ICT estate, including integrating new and legacy products. You will have a strong appetite to further develop your skills in test engineering. Applicants will love to be given full autonomy in their role but also relish working collaboratively in a close-knit team environment, being a key team-player. You will also hold experience using a range of performance/load/automation test tools as well as skills in common languages like Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript, Scala and Go, etc.
