As a Quality Control Technician you'll be responsible that testing is performed in a timely manner in line with agreed schedules. Also, you'll be validating new products and processes and working closely with colleagues.
This role is based on a contracted basis and is located in a lab environment in Blackpool, working for a leading orthopaedic company.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure that all routine testing is performed in a timely manner in line with agreed schedules
* Well developed organisational skills with an ability to work independently when required.
*Attention to detail and excellent time management.
*The ability to work to a deadline, to cope under pressure and react to changing requirements.
*In addition, the ability to work as part of a team to achieve results.
*Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

Education
*Minimum educational level of Degree Level (or equivalent) plus relevant experience in a science based discipline, preferably Chemistry.

Experience
*Minimum of relevant experience in a science based discipline, preferably Chemistry.

This function involves a close working relationship with the following Departments:
*NPD/Technical Support Department
*Quality Assurance

* Proven ability in a scientific discipline
*Good numerical and literacy skills
*Ability to read and follow written instructions
*Computer Literacy
*Good attendance & timekeeping
Desirable
*Flexible towards overtime (weekend & evenings)
