Vida Education are currently looking for a passionate and supportive Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely and friendly Primary School based in Blackpool. The Teaching Assistant must be able to provide the most suitable support to assist the children.

This role is due to start September 2019 and will run till Christmas with the chance to extend.

Duties will include:
  • To help the children learn in a positive, caring environment
  • To help the children be respected as an individual with reference to culture, gender and religion
  • To be given a broad, balanced and relevant education that accesses the National Curriculum
  • To encourage children to communicate with others, understand instructions and be confident in their learning
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils progress
  • To help the children during break times and with social activities
  • To work one to one with an individual child, or with a small group of children in a larger classroom situation
  • Support the teacher in managing challenging pupil behaviour

In order to be considered for this post, you will need to:
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a TA qualification or equivalent
  • Have previous experience of working within a school or classroom
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students
