Days Role Monday to Friday

Engineering Manager required for a world leading manufacturer. Over the last 25 years this company has gone from strength to strength gaining market share. Fantastic training opportunities and long term career development opportunities are available.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Engineering Manager from ANY manufacturing background, those from a single/continuous line manufacturing environment will transfer best. It is essential you have experience applying lean and continuous improvement techniques. You will have experience using TPM and PPM techniques. Candidates will have experience of managing KPIs and equipment performance, you can be electrical or mechanical.

The role will have full responsibility and accountability for the maintenance function within the business. This is a key management role which will offer a good degree of autonomy to improve maintenance practices and procedures in continually running production facility. Although this is a day shift role there will be the very occasional need to work late/night shift with the following day off to essential works that require management. The role will be predominantly office based but if major breakdowns occur you will need to support the team on the shop floor.

The role

*Overall responsibility for Maintenance department, both production and financial targets

*Responsible for all staff development within the team and direct day to day management on performance and addressing skill/training needs.

*Supporting the ongoing development of all maintenance practices and procedures in terms of preventative and reactive activity.

*Identifying cost savings and driving cost efficiency

*Managing CMMS systems, keeping this up to date
