Informative, insightful and engaging investment content is central to marketing and communications activity to address key client concerns. This role will be integral to developing core ESG related content assets and helping to evolve deliverables to meet changing consumption patterns of our target institutional clients, in terms of both digital innovation and messaging efficiency.

The role is responsible for writing, editing, creative development and project management of a range of marketing content to support institutional campaigns and tactical marketing opportunities.

Based in London, the Writer and Content Manager will work closely with the European institutional channel marketers and thought leadership teams to devise and create marketing assets to engage clients and prospects. They will work with creative, email marketing, video production and web teams to manage the development and delivery of those assets in line with channel marketing plans.

Experience

5+ years writing, editing and content development experience
Financial services industry preferred

Key Responsibilities

Content Generation

Write and edit marketing ESG related content including text, audio and images across a range of media including sales literature, articles, whitepapers, video, infographics, core website copy, landing pages, banner content, video scripts and email copy
Drive creativity and a digital-first mindset in the production of core marketing assets
Manage end to end development of content from initiation through to editing and writing, approvals, compliance and publication
Seek to continually enhance the client experience by keeping informed of digital and industry best practicesStrategy

Assist channel marketing to defining the client concerns that will dictate the content agenda
Lead and plan (with marketing partners) the content strategy according to client concerns and associated channel campaigns
Optimise content for measurement and analytics including consideration of SEO and lead generation needs

Project Management

Project-manage multiple marketing content projects, people and deadlines
Co-ordinate with internal and external subject matter experts and thought leadership teams to source material for content projects
Work with in-house and agency design teams, briefing and directing creative development of content, aligned with corporate brand guidelines
Ensure delivery of core assets on time and on budget as per the channel plan, co-ordinating with email, web, and channel marketing business partners

Attributes

5+ years experience in writing and development of marketing content - with a strong focus on digital execution of content
Experience in a similar role within asset management or financial services an advantage. Candidate must have a capacity to grasp investment concepts and develop messaging for institutional audiences
Outstanding written communication skills - a capacity to write and edit engaging copy from short-form through to long-form, and tailored to different mediums
Creativity - aptitude to re imagine and distill complex investment messages into concise and visually engaging content tools
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadline with a delivery mindset
