Nursery Teacher

Seven Education is looking for a Nursery Teacher to work as a full-time permanent member of staff within a new day care nursery due to open in September in Paddington, West London starting at the end of August. The ideal candidate will have QTS / EYTS or equivalent along with up to date knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience with early years.

The role:

You will be expected to lead and manage a nursery provision. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide excellent pastoral care to all students and will be required to have an outstanding record as a classroom practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver fun and engaging educational activities to children in line with EYFS.
Appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development.
Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials as required.
To participate in the key person system, delivering a full EYFS profile inclusive of observations, assessment, planning and reflecting on own practice
Select and use a range of different learning resources and equipment.
Manage pupil behaviour in the setting and on nursery premises and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
Undertake pastoral duties such as supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training events.
Liaise with other professionals when required, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers.
Supervise and support the work of other assistants.
Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: QTS / EYTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Experience: Up to date subject curriculum knowledge and early years
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
Travel: The ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: To start end of August, Full time, permanent.
Pay: £20,859 - £23,157
