We are a local Electrical & Security Wholesaler based in Walton, Liverpool seeking a well presented, confident individual, with good organisation skills who is able to work as part of team and under pressure to specific deadlines. We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper / Administrator that has Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll experience with good administrative, organisational and time-management skills.
Working as the Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper / Administrator you will be the only on-site finance person managing the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll duties
There is a specific responsibility for maintaining accurate and up-to-date Purchase and Sales Ledgers using SAGE Line 50 accounting software for the company so processing transactional data is a key element of the working week.
In addition to your finance responsibilities, as the Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper / Administrator you will also be responsible for a range of administrative duties and other day-to-day administrative based tasks
Purchase and sales ledger experience
Credit Control
Ensuring all suppliers are paid correctly and on time by BACS or cheque
Inputting weekly payroll hours to Payroll
Producing weekly and quarterly reports to trial balance for Director
Quarterly vat returns
Petty Cash and all aspects of banking
Bank Till & Stock reconciliation
Inputting sales receipts and liaising with customers on balances outstanding
Balance sheet reconciliation
In order to be considered you will need to be IT literate with a good understanding of MS Office. Sage Line 50 experience is essential. Payroll experience would be advantageous but training can be given as it is only a small payroll. You must also possess an excellent telephone manner and have experience of finance & administration duties in a busy office environment
