We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Tutor/Assessor, Functional Skills to join the team in London/South East area . You will join us on a full time, 1 year fixed term contract until June 2020 and receive a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 (subject to skills, qualifications and experience).

We are looking for a Tutor/Assessor who will provide creative and interactive learning experiences for learners and will do everything possible to motivate, inspire and support to give them the best chance of success. Responsibilities of our Tutor/Assessor will include:

- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners to enable them to successfully complete their programme of study.

- Support learners on programme to develop Maths, English and employability skills.

- In addition to this, learners have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised vocational qualification.

- Contribute to planning sessions and developing appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans in order to deliver qualifications successfully.

- Tutors will also undertake individual reviews, monitor progress made against qualification criteria and planning actions and activities to fully support the achievement of the learner on programme.

What are we looking for in our Tutor/Assessor?

- Applicants will hold an Award in Education and Training, (AET previously known as PTLLS) as a minimum, or be willing to work toward this qualification.

- You will also hold a minimum of level 3 in English and Maths.

Successful candidates will be expected to embrace the values of the organisation namely; Unity, Integrity and Collaboration, and will be subject to a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly and be available to travel with occasional overnight stays.
