Our clients range from small businesses to multi-site, multi-national organisations, in sectors from logistics and manufacturing to finance and professional services, based across the North West.

This roles focus will be on New Business, the BDM is responsible for creating and cultivating a prospect pipeline of new clients for our Managed Service business. You will work closely with the Commercial Director, sales team and technical departments, while guiding new opportunities through the sales process to achieve revenue targets.

When an account is won, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing a strategic account plan and communicating that to internal teams. Consistently professional and clear communication is a basic expectation for this role, in order to follow up prospects effectively and educate potential clients about new technologies and how best to use them to benefit their organisation.

The right person for this role will have demonstrable experience in winning service account contracts in a B2B market, be highly self motivated with a passion for delivering results. The role is primarily home based with travel around the North West focussed on Greater Manchester, with some travel to the company HQ in Widnes, Cheshire.

Salary for this role is £36400 OTE (Uncapped commission - £22k Basic) + Company Car, Mobile, Laptop, Pension Scheme.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Sell the company range of products and services, specifically IT Managed Services and Solutions.

* Create and cultivate a prospect pipeline of new managed service customers.

* Consistently achieve agreed sales targets.

* Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

* Ensure excellent customer satisfaction is achieved.

* Create, manage and monitor leads, opportunities through to completion.

* Manage customer expectation in terms of delivery, installation and billing.

* Understand our role in the current market place.

* Be familiar with all the ordering processes to ensure order discrepancy rates are within agreed targets.

* Build a pipeline of opportunities and achieve forecasting with an accuracy tolerance of 5%.

* Keep yourself informed on any changes to product and services portfolio and any changes in pricing.

* Arrange for demonstrations and/or demonstrate systems.

* Develop customer strategic account plans and communications strategies.

* Use our systems; ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Sell, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, DropBox. And our partner systems, HPE Partner Portal, Plan Portal and others as required.

* Work such hours as are required to meet the responsibilities of your role and to maintain the service necessary to meet our customers' needs.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Strong Relationship building skills.

B2B sales and relationship building.

Proven ability to identify and generate new business.

Must be capable of prioritization of multiple tasks.

Must possess the ability to work autonomously.

Identify and generate new base business.

Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar business systems.

Be driven and determined.


Ability to communicate at all levels.
