Civil Service College is a premier provider of high quality, bespoke training for those working in the public sector and civil service, here in the UK and abroad. They are looking for a hard-working and proactive candidate to join their team as their new Finance Assistant Apprentice, whilst working towards their AAT3 Accounting qualification.
A typical day:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Receive, record and process purchase and sales invoices from suppliers/trainers
  • Complete fortnightly payment runs
  • Ensure invoices are approved
  • Dealing with internal & external queries regarding invoices and payments
  • Support on credit control and weekly reporting

Personal qualities:
  • Collaborative and able to use initiative
  • Able to prioritise daily, with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, partners & associates and suppliers
Entry requirements:
  • Five GCSE grades C - A* (or 4-9), including Maths and English
  • Level 3 qualification (BTEC, NVQ or equivalent)
  • B grade at Maths GCSE (all accounting roles)

Working hours:

Included in qualification:
  1. Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship.
  2. Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential.
  3. As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit.

What's next:

After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy
