Client Details

My client is a multi-disciplinary, international property agent and they have a number of key contracts in the retail and commercial space across the UK.

They have a position available as an Operations Manager in a prominent shopping centre in Cambridge as well as offering support to several other local buildings / businesses.

Description

Operations Manager - Managing Agent - Shopping Centre

The key responsibilities for this role will include (but not be limited to):

Responsibility for maintenance and repair of the building and services including plant equipment - both reactive and planned preventative maintenance
Day to day operations
Monitoring and managing usage of all utilities and incoming services - negotiating new rates or deals where possible
Ensuring all H&S standards are met, including risk management and statutory compliance
Create and manage Emergency Preparedness Plan including communicating emergency protocol to all tenants / clients
Engage with procurement for the supply and delivery of all hard and soft services, materials and equipment
Ensure best value and optimal service standards are achieved
Act as an Ambassador for the Centre, dealing with customer complaints and queries
Ensure the Centre's sustainability strategy is adhered (including developing their Green credentials)
Management of the site's waste strategy including potential reduction in environmental impact where possible
Regular communication with Centre owner, managing agent, tenants, contractors, suppliers and site staff etc
Management of service charge budgets and expenditure codesProfile

The ideal candidate for this role will either be able to demonstrate the following skills/attributes or have the following experience:

NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
Experience within a retail, leisure or hospitality industry
High levels of communication - both written and verbal
Technical or Operational background
Demonstrable experience dealing with tough stakeholders and contractors
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
