Emerald has a rich suite of content products which have been sold to the academic research market for 50 years. These products have moved from print to digital over that time and are now delivered via a digital content platform which has undergone some significant changes to enable a flexible, UX-led, content website. This offers the opportunity for new products, new business models and the potential to reach new markets.

The Role & Team:

Emerald is seeking a commercially-driven Senior Product Manager to lead a digital content programme to the next stage of growth and profitability. This role will sit within the Product team, reporting directly to Emerald's Head of Product, and will work closely with commissioning publishing teams and sales & marketing.

What You'll Be Doing:

The purpose of this role is to own the end-to-end product planning, delivery and enhancement of our product value proposition, ensuring this is commercially sound in terms of revenue and profit. This will involve maximising the success of our launched products, as well as investigating key enablers (i.e. eCommerce) and new revenue channels and customer groups (i.e. B2C).

Key responsibilities are product profitability, customer usage and engagement, revenue growth and increased market penetration. The role demands an experienced product manager, with commercial acumen and comfort in managing a P&L, influencing skills within a matrix organisation, ability to communicate a vision, and a focus on delivery.

* Broad overall end-to-end operations knowledge: processes, tools, suppliers and systems

* Good understanding of sales cycles, processes and customers.
