We have recently partnered with a North East based Local Authority who are looking to appoint a Principal Educational Psychologist with a view to further improve and develop the service model offered to the community. We are looking to speak with innovative, motivated and appropriately experienced individual to undertake the new this position.

As PEP, you will will initially work in partnership with the Executive PEP to lead and develop maingrade EP's on site with the view of slowly taking the sole responsibility for the service and its delivery.

The successful candidate will -

Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills, strong partnership working, and innovative solutions to support service delivery across Educational Psychology.
British Psychological Society (BPS) recognised first degree in psychology.
A Doctorate or Master's degree in Educational Psychology, and eligibility for chartered status within the British Psychological Society.
HCPC registration.
Recent, relevant in-service professional development.
Detailed understanding and awareness of relevant SEN legislation.
Experience of working with children and young people with SEN/Disability, and detailed knowledge of research informed interventions and approaches that prevent and meet SEN.
