Assistant Project Manager / Land Referencing Team Leader

The Position

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to be based in our Belfast City Centre office. The position is part of a dedicated team, delivering specialist land and property services projects to high profile clients undertaking major business process, infrastructure and regeneration development projects.
  • To ensure that all project activities are performed to the highest levels of quality & compliance in line with defined standards, procedures and TerraQuest's Business Management System, and meet customer quality expectations.
  • Update project documentation on behalf of the Project Manager, to include Project Pack (with all associated logs and schedules), Project Plan and Production Logs.
  • To monitor and record technical quality of project deliverables and report issues to Project Manager.
  • To monitor project risks and report issues to Project Manager.
  • Monitor and record progress against plan and report to Project Manager.
  • Create and maintain Work Instructions, allocate tasks to members of the project team(s) and monitor their progress, performance and quality.
  • Allocate tasks with performance criteria to team members, to be used as Measurable Personal Objectives for performance management purposes.
  • Direct and motivate the project team ensuring all members are suitably trained to perform allocated tasks.

What we need from you
  • Be educated to degree level or similar - Preferably Geography, Management or Law
  • Experience working within a Quality assurance / Data driven environment
  • 1-2 Years' experience managing teams ensuring team targets and performance levels are met
  • Ability to influence, develop, and empower project team members to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  • Ability to manage a variety of project tasks and teams
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams.
  • Have a good understanding of geography, land law and estate management.
  • Be computer literate
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines and within a team environment

You will be looking to build upon your career within project management with an industry leader and have an interest in some or all of our key sectors which include planning, geography, land, property and construction sectors.
