I am representing a well established family owned business based in Wakefield, who are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great company in a great location, with close access to both the M62 and the M1.

They are a provider of contract work ranging from large retail outlets to public house refurbishment, on contracts up to £500,000 and are looking to pay up to £20,000 for this role.

Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Running the weekly payroll, PAYE, Journals, Holiday Pay, and Pension administration
  • CIS Payments processing and record keeping
  • Raising Clients invoices and maintaining the Sales, Purchase and Nominal ledger
  • VAT preparation and submission
  • Process Credit card payments and reconciliations, employees expenses
  • Bank Reconciliations & Online employee and supplier payment runs
  • Management of projects-Job costing processing
  • General administrative duties
  • Desirable experience and Skills:
  • Accounts/Payroll Experience
  • Sage 50 Accounts
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work in a team is a must
